I've been working with Lisa Linehan of Project Husband over the past year and I have really fallen in love with her and this concept. Last year, Lisa set out on a mission to find her true love. She set her wedding date and coordinated all the components, the only thing she needed was a groom. Even though she didn't find her man, she's had quite the amazing journey.But what about the amazing wedding that she didn't get to use? Well, Lisa did something amazing! She gave it away. A complete dream wedding with everything from the venue to the bridal shower included. Couples around the DFW area submitted their "Perfect Proposal" story and the audience cast votes for their favorite.
The winning couple is Lauren and Sean and they have an amazing story to share. Last fall Lauren was diagnosed with a rare form of vasculitis called Wegener's Granulomatosis. This auto-immune disease has no known cause or cure. Doctors determined that she had less than a 10 percent chance of surviving. Her health has been progressing forward, thankfully, and she and Sean have set a date for their dream wedding to take place! (Please read more about their story here. It is truly amazing!)
The great thing is I actually know Lauren from school. We were in the same scholarship program and studied in the same major and I am so excited to be a part of her big day.
